I want to apply gaussian heat flux to A 2-D heat transfer in solid problem. Actually I am looking to do simulation of crater formed during micro Electron Discharge Machining. How can I proceed?

The COMSOL graphical user interface is interpreted, so you can type a mathematical expression dependent on the coordinates (in your case, a gaussian) in the textfield where you need it.

Best,

Jeff
