sine-Gordon equation

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello everybody.

I try to solve numerically the stationary sine-Gordon equation in Comsol 5.2.

uxx-sin(u)=0

on the interval from zero to 2*pi.

Boundary conditions:

u(2*pi)-u(0)=2*pi*n, where n is the integer number
and
ux(0)=ux(2*pi).

I have no problem to set the second boundary condition but I do not understand how I can set the phase difference u(2*pi)-u(0)=2*pi*n ?

Thanks in a advance.
