Electroosmotic flow around a particle

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I want to construct a system of electroosmotic flow "around a particle". I have noticed that COMSOL has a built-in-function of "Electroosmotic velocity Boundary condition", which can be used for electroosmotic micromixer (www.comsol.com/model/electroosmotic-micromixer-485), for example. However, this function is not valid for object body boundary but for "wall boundary". It seems like this function can be applicable if a body object is removed from the system to create wall boundary around the original object using "Delete Entities" function. But in this case, it is not allowed to assign a material property on the body of the original object. I'm still not sure if this can be used in this way. I was wondering if there is any other proper way to realize electroosmotic flow around a particle. To be more specific, this is induced-charge electroosmotic flow around a particle (in the electrical double layer) under an external ac electric field.

Thank you very much for your help!
