Magnetic Flux Leakage

Hi All, I am trying to model the magnetic flux leakage in a plate which is magnetized by two coils wound around a yoke shape magnetic core. The is an air gap between the plate and the magnetic core. The plate has a rectangular discontinuity, so the magnetic field should leak out to the air. However, when I run the model I see this error: "Failed to find consistent initial values. Last time step is not converged." The file is attached. I would appetite it if any one can help me with this.

Hi There,

The following two examples seems to be useful here. https://www.comsol.com/model/e-core-transformer-14123 https://www.comsol.com/model/vector-hysteresis-modeling-20671

Best Regards, Nirmal Paudel

Hi Nirmal, Thanks for your response. Actually I did both tutorials, but I did not see any magnetic flux leakage into the air when I made a discontitunuty in the ferromagnetic core.
