Impulse Load

Hello,

I want to know how to apply a impulse load on a membrane which has Pressure = 2KPa
and a pulse width of 1-10ms. Also, If possible please specify the steps to do so.

Hi

Select a time domain solver, which implies that the variable "t" is defined (by default in seconds), then define a (truncated) Gaussian or smoothed rectangle, or 1-cos() type function (whatever applies to your case) with the argument of "t[1/s]) and off you solve, that sould do ;)

do not forget to adapt the time stepping to the pulse length , possibly by using an "intermediate" stepping rather than the "free" by defaut, allthough a single pulse is often resolved correctly also in "free" mode
