"grooved/finned" surface

Hi everyone! I'm trying to make "grooved/finned" inside-surface on one of my pipe-model, but i have little difficulties here. Could someone help me with this geometry-problem?

I have just add two geometries (cylindrical&helix) and before i even start to do mesh i got error message below: "Error_in_parameter_domain_topological_analysis".

Hi

toroidal, or twisted volumes are delicate to express. be sure you geometry relative feature size is adequate, that your volume do not self interact, and that the meshing will not self-interact. You need fine enough mesh density to resolve correctly the geometrical curvature. I do not know of other things that can go wrong ;)

Good luck
