Moving mesh

i'm actually trying to simulate a welding model.i have created a cuboid block .i have a heat source and i move it along the length.i have included laminar flow,heat transfer and solid deformation.the thing is it takes a lot of time for simulation.so we implemented a moving mesh which moves with a velocity equal to that of the heat source.We made the mesh more fine below the heat source and we got the results much faster.But the problem is that the mesh moves beyond the geometry of the body..Is there any way i can avoid this??
