Error in parameter in domain topological analysis, Comsol 4.2a

Dear All,

I want to make block with round edges in 3D. I defined workplanes, make geometrical objects in 2D, do "extrude", end on the end - INTERSECTION.

When I do these steps in Comsol 4.2a version 4.2.1.110 (older version) everything is OK, but when I do the same in

Comsol 4.2a version 4.2.1.166 (newer version) I receive message:

"Internal error in geometry composition" and below that "Error in parameter in domain topological analysis".

Also, when I receive report, in Geometry 1, "CAD Import module kernel" automaticaly switch to "Comsol Kernel".

I tried to make this module in older version and then to open it in newer version, but then I receive some message about problems with CAD import module.

Thanks in advanced.

Hi

indeed it seems you have hit some particular geometry issue, I would suggest that you send your model to support, its difficult for us to help in such situation.
The only case I know about in the new version where I got an error, was when I by mistake filleted an edge such that the straight part went to "0", that is indeed a topology change not appreciated. And for which one could expect an error

Good luck
