how to achieve this laser beam movement

Hi

i am trying to move laser beam on surface of a square plate for layer scan. i tried from last 2 months. but i could not achieve this movement. i have attached the figure for laser beam movement.
please help me

Did you already succeed? I need to model the same movement, but I couldn't figure out how to do it?

You can achieve any source trajectory you like by using expressions and functions. In the attached file, I used a Gaussian expression centered on a location defined by a couple of piecewise functions to generate the kind of trajectory that uday expressed interest for earlier. You could use other functions that piecewise ones of course (analytical, interpolation, etc)- there are lots of options here.
